About Us
THE G.Y.H VYRONA is a four-storey building with a south view to the sea, Aegina Island & north facing mountains, Pateras and Ymittos. We are on the South-East of the center of Athens, a distance of 6 km from Omonia square end 4 Km from Syntagma square where the Parliament stands.
One can go in the city center either by bus or on foot in 30-40 minutes. A taxi will cost about 5 euros. Taxi is cheap in Greece.
The totaly renewed building was initially the main G.Y.H. since 1970. Above the reception you will see the bright picture of the Acropolis which is still there today. Rooms in G.Y.H are 2-bed, 4-bed, 6 and 8 with indoor or shared bathrooms and toilets.
While staying at the G.Y.H Byron you are given the opportunity to meet new people and exchange ideas and stories, to experience Greek culture and civilization ... with cooking lessons – visit mythic places, see or dance traditional dances and other activities.
Other ways of getting to know this heritage is our books, our trips, excursions, our picnic, beach parties and our walks. One can use on a self service basis the kitchen, laundry, some bicycles, air conditioning, luggage deposit and lockers for your valuables.
